Who would benefit from completing the courses offered?
Our courses are suitable for everyone, but they may be of particular interest to:

• DIY enthusiasts
• Individuals wishing to earn a second income
• Those wishing to change career or are currently unemployed
• Tradesmen wishing to offer plastering services in addition to their current skills

Do i need any previous knowledge or experience?
No! All of our courses are designed for the absolute beginner.

How do i find out availability and book onto a course?
Please email or contact the office or download the form here for current availability. To book a place on any of the courses we require a deposit of 50% of the course cost, along with a completed booking form, this can be a cheque payable to Plymouth Plastering School, or cash paid in person at the plastering school. A letter of confirmation will then be sent to you. The remaining balance should be paid on the first day of the course. Although we do not accept credit/debit cards we do accept credit card cheques and postal orders.

can i change a date once i have booked onto a course?
Yes, in exceptional circumstances we do allow you to change course dates, but this must be done no later then 1 week prior to commencing the course. This is subject to availability and at our discretion.

What do I need to bring with me when I attend the course?
The only thing you need to bring is yourself!! Oh, and some lunch. We supply all tools and materials, however if you have your own trowel please feel free to bring it along. You need to wear sturdy footwear and old clothing, as you will get dirty. Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are provided throughout the course and there is a local delivery of hot snacks should you wish to purchase your lunch (weekdays only).

do i get a certificate when i complete the course?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of attendance when you complete the course. This provides evidence of what you have been taught. You will also receive an information booklet containing revision notes of what you have been taught.

will i be able to plaster in just 3 days?
A question that is often asked! Yes, we guarantee that by the end of the 3 day course you will be able to get a smooth flat finish. The courses are 100% practical, demonstrating the correct methods of application, giving you the confidence to apply your new found skills at home or in the work place - speed will come with experience! However if you are unhappy with the finish you are getting you can return as many times as you wish, at no extra cost until you are happy! That is how confident we are in our training skills!

can i buy a course as a present?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers for that unusual gift idea. You can purchase any course, or if you prefer, any amount towards a course, so the person can choose the course themselves! Please complete a booking form with the person's details and send it along with a cheque for the amount you wish to purchase for them. A gift voucher for that amount will then be sent so don't forget to let us know your address as well! For more information please call or email.

can you arrange accommodation?
We don't arrange this ourselves, although we have agreed discounted rates at a local hotel, please contact us for details.

cancellations
Deposits are non refundable in the event of cancellation by you after a place has been offered to you. In the event that a cancellation is beyond your control you will be offered a place at a later date, at our discretion. In the unlikely event of cancellation by us you will be offered a course at a later date or your deposit will be refunded in full.
